How do I create multiple Word documents from one Excel file?
Upload the spreadsheet, pick the Word template or Quick mode, preview a single row, then generate. Every row becomes its own named document and the batch downloads as one ZIP.
How is this different from Word mail merge?
Mail merge produces one long combined document by default, and splitting it into separate files needs a macro. Here each row is a separate file from the start, with its own filename, and the setup can be saved and reused.
How many documents can I generate at once?
A single run accepts up to 500 rows and produces up to 500 documents. Larger jobs can be split across several runs or driven through the API.
How are the generated files named?
You choose a column to supply the filename, such as customer name or certificate number. If two rows would produce the same name, doctagd appends (2) and (3) rather than overwriting a file.
Can several spreadsheet rows go into one document?
Yes. When repeated rows share an order, deal, or project ID, group them so the shared fields form the document body and the repeated rows become a table of line items.
Do previews count toward my monthly limit?
No. Previews and failed generations never count. Only documents that generate successfully use your allowance.
