# doctagd

> doctagd turns Excel/CSV form exports and internal spreadsheets into polished,
> repeatable Microsoft Word (.docx) documents — with optional PDF export on paid
> plans. Map a spreadsheet to a Word template once, then reuse the mapping for
> every future batch — or skip the template and generate clean form-style
> documents straight from Excel headers.

doctagd is built for non-technical SMBs and internal corporate teams who
generate recurring paperwork: service agreements, business cases, IT access
requests, software quotes, certificates, and packing slips. It is a simpler
alternative to setting up a Power Automate Forms-to-Word flow.

Key capabilities:
- Template mode: upload Excel + a .docx template; placeholders are extracted,
  fuzzy-matched to columns, confirmed, then one document is generated per row.
  Supports repeating sections (loops) and conditional sections.
- Quick mode: upload Excel only; each row becomes a tidy form-style Word doc.
- Value formatting: per-field date, currency, number, and letter-case filters
  in both modes (e.g. 2026-05-13 -> 13 May 2026, 4800 -> £4,800.00).
- PDF export: Pro and Business users can output PDF instead of DOCX, in the
  browser or via the API. PDF uses the same monthly document allowance as DOCX.
- Saved configs: store the template, expected columns, and mappings to reuse
  on future uploads, with header-drift detection when columns are renamed.
- Single-row preview before generating the full batch.
- API: run a saved config from Zapier, n8n, Make, or a backend by posting
  Excel or JSON rows with an API key (Bearer dtgd_...). Accepts outputFormat
  "docx" (default) or "pdf".
- Plans: Free (10 docs/mo, 2 configs), Pro, and Business tiers. Shared licenses
  let a team pool one paid plan's document allowance.
